ORANGE

ENERGETIC
SPONTANEOUS
CHARMING

"Energetic, spontaneous, and charming. If you’re an Orange, you tend to be action-oriented and are comfortable taking risks. You probably also tend to be competitive and seek out adventures with opportunities to push the boundaries. Living in the moment and enjoying an adaptable time schedule are important to you." - True Colors

As an "Orange", your interior design shouldn't be plain and boring. You could easily get tired of neutral colors and plain patterns filling your home. Instead, use your love of action and adventure and go with a bright color on your walls, bold patterns in your upholstery, and unique design pieces. Another great way to make space for your fun and creative personality is to create a room or area in your home to explore your passions so you can always take advantage of the moment. Try Bohemian, Eclectic, or Transitional design styles to bring boldness, uniqueness, and a mix of materials and patterns into your design.

GOLD

PUNCTUAL
ORGANIZED
PRECISE

"Punctual, organized, and precise. “Golds” tend to need structure and organization. If you’re a Gold, then order, rules, respect, and dependability are important to you. Time is a key part of your life if you’re a Gold personality type. You need to be on time and want others to be punctual as well. Following the plan or schedule is best for you." - True Colors

If order, punctuality, and dependability are important to you as a Gold personality, then your design should be focused on structure and dependability as well. Do what you can to eliminate clutter from your home so there is less distraction and chaos getting in the way of your day.

The ideal design styles for you might be Minimalism and/or Scandinavian. Minimalism is the idea that less is more. The essentials are the most important thing in your life and you should prioritize them in your design too. Don't use excessive decorations. Instead, choose a few strong, functional pieces that speak to you and design around them with neutral colors and simple patterns and textures. Scandinavian design is minimal, functional, and modern at its core. The main emphasis is using clean and simple lines.

BLUE

EMPATHETIC
COMPASSIONATE
COOPERATIVE

"Empathetic, compassionate, and cooperative. “Blues” tend to be very social people. If you’re a Blue, you value relationships and harmony. Genuine kindness, sincerity, and compassion are important to you. You enjoy opportunities to work with others and collaborate and any opportunity to develop a connection." - True Colors

Design your space around making connections with people. From a cozy dining room for dinner parties to a large entertainment space for gatherings of your best friends and family, make sure your interior design gives you the space and functionality to enjoy time with people. With harmony being a big part of your personality, use peaceful colors and design elements that support flow and peace at home. Consider California Chic (softer version of the Bohemian style) or French Country (clean and hospitable) for your interior design... Both are perfect styles for entertaining while also providing a calm and natural place for you.

GREEN

ANALYTICAL
INTUITIVE
VISIONARY

"Analytical, intuitive, and visionary. These are traits of the Green Personality type. “Greens” find innovative thinking and problem solving exciting. If you’re a Green, you tend to be able to see the big picture and able to effectively analyze situations. Thinking outside the box is a real strength. You also have an extreme need to be right." - True Colors

As someone who loves being analytical, but also thinking outside the box, you have a great range to choose from for your design. Choose pieces that are unique to satisfy your innovative side, and use your analytical side to arrange your décor in pleasing patterns. One great design style for you could be Industrial. This style uses a mixture of materials and focuses on structure. Showing off the structure of your home and accentuating it with complementary décor could be the perfect fit. Use a mixture of materials including metal, brick, and wood in addition to unique light fixtures to create the space of your dreams.
