As anyone who is familiar with Charleston Forge is aware, one of our greatest strengths is the fact that every single piece of furniture that comes out of our factory is built by hand. This gives us tremendous versatility when it comes to creating custom furniture for our clients across the country.

Much of the custom work we do involves simply changing dimensions, while others involve unique tops or other materials, and many are completely original designs brought to us by designers or architects. Regardless of the project, it is something that we do literally every day. Here are just a few of the custom pieces we have done. Our owners not only know and understand the high end American furniture market, but they also have a powerful working knowledge of Chinese production facilities. Hooker Furniture

In 1925, four-year-old Clyde Hooker Jr. pulled the cord on the steam whistle that signaled the first work day at Hooker Furniture. In his 40 years leading the company, Clyde's dedication to the pursuit of making stylish, beautiful, well-made furniture propelled the company to become one of the nation's premier importers and manufacturers of furniture. In 2000, Clyde passed the torch of leadership to Paul B.
